Regular Meal Time
Eating regularly helps maintain a high level of metabolism and prevent overeating. This is particularly important for pre-school children. For regular meals, they should be 4 to 6 hours apart from each other; snacks are allowed if necessary, but they should be at least 1.5 hours away from any main meal. To reduce the risk of tooth decay, allow only one serving of refreshments between any two meals. If children eat frequently, they are more likely to overeat and go for unhealthy food, hence they are more prone to obesity and chronic diseases in the long run.
