Balanced Diet

A balanced diet is the foundation of healthy lifestyle. Different foods we have every day have different nutritional values. Eating too much or too little will certainly affect our health. Nutritional values can be broadly divided into five categories, namely: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins. If you eat according to the Food Pyramid, you will obtain the right amount of nutrients to remain healthy and prevent diet-related diseases like hypertension, heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, cancer, etc. Therefore, children should start from their age to develop a habit of a balanced diet, take regular meals at regular time, and be tolerant of all food items.
